Crisis Intervention
At the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center, our crisis intervention services provide assistance for victims of personal abuse. Clients can receive a safety assessment, referrals for temporary safe shelter and referrals for other community services in the following ways:
- Calling our 24-hour crisis phone line
- Visiting our center for walk-in assistance
Advocacy Department
As part of our crisis intervention services, the Advocacy Department supports men, women, transgender, and non-binary individuals impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault, including children, adolescents, adults and older adults. Advocates also support victims’ families and friends.
Clients can receive help with various medical, social, and legal systems issues, including:
- Protection orders
- Emotional support
- Safety planning
- Assistance with basic needs
- Referrals (human services, legal, medical, shelter / housing)
- Elder Abuse Advocacy
