The purpose of the Counselor position is to provide counseling and related services to clients who have been impacted by sexual abuse or domestic violence, reflecting the strategic direction and mission of the organization.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. COUNSELING: Provides counseling to primary and secondary victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence.

2. ADVOCACY: Advocates for clients needing professional support outside of the organization.

3. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Fosters professional growth and teamwork to ensure quality services to clients.

4. COMMUNITY RELATIONS: Fosters relationships that strengthen the organization’s ability to serve victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence.

Advocate, On Call Lead

The purpose of the On-Call Lead position is to provide on-shift support to the On-Call Advocates. The On-Call Lead will work with the On-Call Advocacy Supervisor to help ensure immediate, client-centered, and mission driven crisis intervention for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. PROGRAM SUPPORT: Appropriately respond to team members needing guidance and support when providing after-hours advocacy services.

2. COMMUNITY RELATIONS: Encourage collaborative relationships that strengthen the organization’s ability to serve victim/survivors of sexual and domestic violence.

3. CRISIS INTERVENTION: Provide immediate intervention, support, and advocacy services to clients in crisis, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of the advocate training program; preferred experience as an On-Call Advocate
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence; preferred experiencing working as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Able to respond in person to emergency room calls within 30 minutes

  • Attend bi-weekly Lead meeting
  • Available after standard business hours:

o Evenings, holidays, and weekends

o Weekday on-call shift: 5 p.m. – 8 a.m.

o Weekend on-call shifts: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. & 5 p.m. – 8 a.m.

On Call Advocate (Medical Advocate)

ABOUT THE POSITION: On-Call Advocates respond to the local emergency rooms when someone presents after experiencing physical or sexual assault. On-Call Advocates ensure the victim/survivors do not have to navigate their trauma alone by providing emotional support, crisis intervention, and information that promotes autonomy and informed decision making. In cases of sexual assault, where a victim/survivor requests evidence collection, On-Call Advocates support them through the process and uphold person centered collaboration with the Sexual Assault Response Team.

REPORTS TO: On Call Supervisor

PURPOSE
The purpose of the On-Call Advocate position is to provide crisis intervention for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence to increase stability factors in their lives and access immediately needed services and resources, consistent with the mission of the organization.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. CRISIS INTERVENTION: Provides immediate intervention, support and advocacy services to clients in crisis.
2. COMMUNITY RELATIONS: Fosters collaborative relationships that strengthen the organization’s ability to serve victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of and sensitivity regarding the issues of sexual abuse and domestic violence
  • Completion of the advocate training program; preferred experience as a volunteer advocate
  • Able to respond in person to emergency room calls within 30 minutes

AMEND Group Facilitator (Part-Time)

RACC is looking to add a male AMEND Group Facilitator to co-facilitate our AMEND group with our female facilitator. A 4-hour commitment each week is required of this role. Group Facilitators of the AMEND program provide a framework for group participants to acknowledge their use of violence in intimate partner relationships and accept responsibility for the impact on their partner.
