Volunteer with RACC!
Fighting violence requires the collective effort of our entire community. By volunteering at the RACC, you become an integral part of the solution.
Together, let’s create a safer, more supportive community.
We regularly offer the following volunteer opportunities.
- Phone Advocates – answer our crisis line after hours and provide a listening ear, emotional support, and information to clients and/or community members
- Front Desk Coverage – provide clerical support, including answering calls, helping our clients enter the building, and assisting with special projects
- Child care attendants – care for children whose parents are participating in services through the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center
- Event assistants – assist with planning, promotion and coordination of events
- Resource Room Coordination – assist with organizing donations to the Resource Room
- Deep Cleaning – assist with keeping our office clean and welcoming for those who utilize our services
- Pet Fostering with RACC’s Safe Haven Pet Fostering Program – provide temporary shelter for pets of victim survivors leaving unsafe situations. Read more here: RACC Safe Haven Pet Fostering Program
