The Rape and Abuse Crisis Center provides crisis intervention, advocacy, counseling and education to victims of domestic/dating violence, elder abuse, trafficking/ sexual exploitation and child sexual abuse and prevention programming to the community. To enhance these essential services, RACC has the following opportunities available:

Prevention Education Supervisor (Full Time)

The prevention education supervisor will ensure that the community receives education and training, coordinate measurement of education and training impact, and develop / design various curricula while incorporating the strategic direction and mission of the organization.   

Responsibilities include program coordination, public outreach and education, management, community relations, leadership and supervision.  Experience providing education and training, ability to work independently, engage with multi-disciplinary teams and provide community presentations is necessary.  This position requires an understanding of dynamics related to domestic violence and sexual abuse.

A Master’s degree in education, counseling, social work or related field with education / training and supervisory experience preferred.

Public Educator (Full time)

The Public Educator position will communicate the mission of the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center while providing education in regard to awareness and prevention of sexual and domestic violence in the community. This position will design and administer outreach and education efforts that advance prevention of sexual and domestic violence supporting the vision, purpose, mission, and values of the Center and will develop collaborative efforts with other organizations to create and coordinate prevention community efforts,

A varied work schedule, including some evening and weekend hours, is required. This position requires knowledge of issues related to domestic violence and sexual abuse as well as a Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, psychology, criminal justice, education, or related field, and two years of related work experience.  Demonstrated effective public speaking and written communication is essential.  Organizational and time management skills are necessary.

Counselor (Full Time)

 

The Counselor position will carry out the mission by providing counseling and advocacy services directly to individuals who have been impacted by personal violence as part of a clinical team.

  

A varied work schedule, including some evening hours, is required.  The position requires knowledge of issues related to interpersonal violence and the impact of trauma.  A Master’s Degree in counseling, social work or related field with a current state license or eligibility for licensure is required.

Community Advocate (Full Time)

 

The Community Advocate position will provide crisis intervention and ongoing case management for individuals who have experienced human trafficking, exploitation, domestic violence, and sexual assault.

This position will be responsible for intensive case management, crisis intervention, and outreach to multiple sites. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with law enforcement, social services, and other system professionals. Experience working with vulnerable populations beneficial. Must be able to work independently, engage with a multi-disciplinary team, and provide community presentations. This position requires an understanding of dynamics related to human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual abuse.

A Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, psychology, criminal justice, or related field required. An Associate’s degree with 4 years of post-degree experience will be considered.
